Grand Seiko Hi-Beat 36000 Asia Limited Edition 2021
Ever since the Grand Seiko Style was established with the 44GS in 1967, its design code has formed the cornerstone of every Grand Seiko timepiece. Today sees a limited edition of the modern re-interpretation design of the 44GS equipped with the Hi-beat 36000 GMT Caliber 9S86 to be released exclusively in Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East. This design series is where history, hand craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology converge. Like the twilight, or Tasogare in Japanese, the period of time between day and night, the gray Mt. Iwate pattern dial depicts the scenery when light and shadow coexist in an ever-changing tableau.
A unique gray dial with a Mt. Iwate pattern. The gray dial with the well-acclaimed Mt. Iwate pattern showcases the ridgelines of the magnificent mountain visible from the Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi where all Grand Seiko mechanical timepieces are made. It perfectly expresses the beauty of the mountain scenery under the gentle faint glow of the sun at dusk.
Sharp edges and soft lines. A perfect combination. Viewed from the front or side, the blending of sharp angles, brilliant surfaces and softly curved lines of the 44GS modern re-interpretation design presents an infinite range of expression through the interplay of light and shadow. Each watch is Zaratsu polished with extra care by hand by skilled craftsmen and women.
