Heinrich Moser was a businessman born in Schaffhausen into a family of watchmakers, He followed in the footsteps of his ancestors and learned the watchmaking trade. He founded H. Moser & Cie in 1828 and built a factory employing hundreds of watchmakers in Switzerland. Heinrich Moser is also notable for his involvement in the industrialization of Schaffhausen on the construction of the first Swiss dam to feature a hydro-mechanical turbine to generate energy.
